Recently, Globaltality Holding from Taiwan released its 2017 annual brand strategy “SPACiE” coworking in Shanghai, which stands for the concept of sharing, packaging, application, combination, and engineering. The “i” in the strategy refers more to the imagination, innovation, integration, and intelligence.
Standing on the front line of “mass entrepreneurship and innovation”, more and more entrepreneurs have begun to pursue their dreams. However, as the housing prices in first-tier cities continue to rise, office rental costs are rising, too. In the eyes of entrepreneurs, the heavy rent burden is a shackle on the road to dream pursuit; for co-working leasing companies, high rents have created a huge market.
Youke Factory, Fangtang Town, Dreamplus, Tencent Zhongchuang, 3W, Funwork and other co-working space brands are all “trendmakers” in this trend of co-working. In the downtown area of Shanghai alone, there are many co-working space brands, such as WeWork, We+, Luoxinshe, Youke Factory, Fangtang Town, SOHO3Q and so on. The competition is in fierce here.
Globaltality Holdings, a latecomer, also opened its first GH Business Center on the mainland in Shanghai Hongqiao CBD, calling itself a “new type of space operator”. That day, GH business center general manager Ye Jianzhi said bluntly in an interview, “GH Business Center targets small business crowd.” He also said that the Shanghai GH Business Center is 80% occupied so far. GH will open a second one in Beijing later this year. By then, more public space will be available.
He said that although he is very optimistic about the coworking rental market in the mainland, the investment in the mainland is a bit ” like the rush”, “if you see a good one, you will swarm toward it.” On the contrary, Taiwan’s Globaltality Holding is relatively conservative in investment, “doing a good job in a click to arrange the next one, and don’t make the investment as speculation.”
Huang Bingzhang, chairman of Taiwan Globaltality Holding, also mentioned that the mainland market is a market that GH attaches great importance. With careful preparation and good interaction in the early stage, there will be good opportunities in the future and a huge market.
